Curriculum

A sample of the curriculum I designed and implemented for K-12 art education.

High School

Students use hand sewing and embroidery techniques to create a flag that communicates a message of healing or resilience.

7th & 8th grade

An arts integrated lesson connecting the microscopic world and felting.

K4 & K5

Students create textile art after making connections between families and their classroom.

Through linear perspective or expressive shape, color and line students depict a memory of a significant place.

Observational drawing approached with mindful techniques. 

K5 - 3rd grade

Students investigate food as a subject in artwork and explore differences and similarities between food traditions across cultures.

4th & 5th grade

Students experiment with creating characters and personal narrative comics.
